The General Aviation Safety Council is a Charity that works to improve flight safety in all forms of general aviation. It is funded by the contributions of member organisations, pilots, aviation authorities and the public. It is also a negotiating organisation with an office and three part-time staff at Rochester Airport, Kent.
The General Aviation Awareness Council represents General Aviation interests in regard to Environmental and Planning issues
GAPAN - The Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators. The principal activities of the Guild are centred on sponsoring and encouraging action and activities designed to ensure that aircraft are piloted and navigated safely by aviators who are highly competent, self-reliant, dependable and respected.  The Guild fosters the sound education and training of air pilots and air navigators from the initial training of the young pilot to the specialist training of the more mature.
The Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN) is a learned society with charitable status. Formed in 1947, its aims have always been threefold:
  • To unite all those with a professional or personal interest in any aspect of navigation in one unique body;
  • To further the development of navigation in every sphere; and
  • To increase public awareness of the art and science of navigation.
AOPA provides a donation towards the running costs of TopNav and donates a prize (the AOPA prize) each year.
AOPA supports the LAA Educational Trust, the charitable arm of the Light Aircraft Association.
