On successfully submitting the form you will get a copy of your submission by email to the email address you enter, so long as it is a valid email address. Beware of spelling errors.

A copy of your submission will be stored in our database and a copy will also be emailed to the AOPA UK office, who will process your membership application.

AOPA UK use your Email address as our primary and preferred means of contacting you in respect of managing your membership.

As part of your membership we also keep you informed, including informing you of any important changes that could affect your flying. We do this through this website and the bi-monthly AOPA Magazine.

We also publish an Enewsletter to our members email addresses, these are normally published in between Magazine issues though we will issue additional newsletters if we believe there is value. You can unsubscribe from the newsletters at any time.

AOPA and IAOPA negotiate benefits for members, which may be in the form of discounts or special offers for members only. We are working to enable benefits negotiated by any National AOPA to be available to any AOPA Member worldwide. To enable your entitlement to a member discount to be ascertained it may be necessary to share some of your membership data with other IAOPA organisations or trusted Third Parties who are offering the benefit, e.g. Name, Email Address. Please indicate below if we may share you data for this purpose.

Associate members do not receive support or advice for aviation related issues. They do receive the AOPA Magazine, Enewsletters (if not unsubscribed) and have access to member offers and some member areas of the AOPA UK website. This membership option is a popular option for piltos who have stopped flying but still wish to be kept up to date with General Aviation matters and continue to support AOPA. 

This option is for a 1 Year Instructor Membership. As an Instructor Member you will receive personal support or advice for aviation related issues, receive the AOPA Magazine and Enewsletters (if not unsubscribed) and have access to member offers and Instructor member areas of the AOPA UK website.

This option is for a 2 Year Instructor Membership with photo Air Crew Card. As an Instructor Member you will receive personal support or advice for aviation related issues, receive the AOPA Magazine and Enewsletters (if not unsubscribed) and have access to member offers and Instructor member areas of the AOPA UK website. Please upload a passport sized photograph in jpg or png format, with your name as the file name, using the field below.

This option is for a 2 Year Pilot Membership with photo Air Crew Card. As a Pilot Member you will receive personal support or advice for aviation related issues, receive the AOPA Magazine and Enewsletters (if not unsubscribed) and have access to member offers and member areas of the AOPA UK website. Please upload a passport sized photograph in jpg or png format, with your name as the file name, using the field below.

This option is for a 1 Year Pilot Membership. As a Pilot Member you will receive personal support or advice for aviation related issues, receive the AOPA Magazine and Enewsletters (if not unsubscribed) and have access to member offers and member areas of the AOPA UK website.

This option is for up to 2 Years membership of AOPA UK for Student Pilots for a refundable £20 administration fee. To qualify for Student Membership you:

  • do not hold, or have not held, a Pilot Licence of any type issued by any National Authority

  • must be undertaking recognised Pilot Training for a Pilot Licence at a UK Based Training Organisation recognised by the UK CAA

  • must have a valid UK postal address

  • must fully complete this application form

Student Membership is valid for 2 Years from the date of joining or until issue of a Pilot Licence, whichever is the earlier. At this point your Student Membership will have expired and you will need to renew as a Pilot or Instructor Member, using the online Expired Student Membership Upgrade option, to continue to receive the full benefits of AOPA UK membership and be refunded.

  • The Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.
  • If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit AOPA will notify you (normally 10 working days) in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request AOPA to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.
  • If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by AOPA or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society.
  • If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when AOPA asks you to.
  • You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify AOPA.

If you have selected a 2 Year Membership option your first payment will be for half the full membership amount. A second payment of the remaining half will be taken around 12 months after your membership starts.

For all annual membership options your first payment will be for the full amount. On expiry in 12 months you will be debited for the full annual amount for that membership option as applicable at the date of renewal.

To make your payment please telephone 020 7834 5631 Monday to Friday (excl UK Public Holidays) 10:30 to 17:00 and select the Membership option. Please have available your card details and order number as below. You must be the card holder.

Your application for membership will not be processed until your card payment has been authorised and funds cleared into our bank account.
